General Internists – Manitoba

Clinic Medical Corporation is currently recruiting two General Internists. The Clinic has 38 physicians practicing cohesively in a modern fully computerized clinic. The clinic is located directly across the street from the Regional Health Centre. The building is owned by the shareholders and consists of the Clinic’s medical area, as well as a shopping mall holding ten tenants. The Clinic is composed of 11 separate medical stations, a fully equipped lab, a fully equipped x-ray department, along with EKG and stress-testing, pulmonary function and a physician lounge. The RHC has 313 beds with a busy ER and a 6-bed ICU providing care to medical and post-surgery patients. Diagnostic Services include Radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Internal Medicine programs including Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Cardiology, Respirology, and Rheumatology. There are over 100 physicians and specialists with admitting privileges at the health center.

The city is thriving with a population of over 40,000 people, located 200 kms. west of Winnipeg on the Trans Canada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and travel problems. Brandon University has a significant reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south. There are numerous other recreational areas in Western Manitoba. Dubbed ‘the Host City’, Brandon’s enthusiastic volunteer base land many provincial, national and international events. The ‘Wheat City’ is an excellent community in which to raise children or retire.
Qualifications
Must be eligible for registration & licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba.

Required qualifications:
·FRCPC or eligibility for Royal College of Canada certification.
·Current or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (US Board Certified or eligible).
Job Type Full Time (Permanent)
Salary Remuneration is fee-for-service; sessional rate for on site call rota.
